Join Gabriel of yoga East Austin & Meghan Huehn, founder of of Namaste North, for 8 weeks of training that will change your life. optional teaching opportunities & mentorship included!

8 weeks total (300 hours)

Commit yourself to a Daily practice, Share experiences with accountability buddies, dive deep into the 26&2 in weekend modules, & top it all off with an unforgettable retreat style intensive in Mexico, where you will leave with the confidence of teaching a 90 minute Bikram yoga class, and 60 & 75 min versions.

5 weekend modules

learn the history & Philosophy of yoga, the hot yoga dialogue, and the 26 poses & 2 breathing exercises that are bikram yoga! weekend modules are in studio, from 10a-7p, Friday-Sunday. we will check in each weekend with the namaste north crew to share and learn from one another.

daily practice + Check Ins

The Training includes Daily 90 and 60 minute practices, plus zoom sessions twice a week, mid-week, to help keep everyone on track and accountable. You’ll receive support from our staff here at YEA, plus insights and camaraderie from meghan and the namaste north team!

2 week intensive in mexico

Spend the final TWO weeks at Casa Om in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, where both studio communites will join up to practice together twice a day, nourish ourselves with the best food, relax at the beach, and best of all, practice teach!

Each trainee will leave casa om with the experience of teaching a 90 minute class.

Meet the Educator Team

  • Meghan

    Namaste North founder & LEAD TEacher

    Meghan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Health Education and is certified to teach Bikram and Vinyasa yoga. She’s been teaching yoga since 2007. Meghan is am enthusiastic skilled teacher and business leader. Meg's goal is that you leave class feeling more connected to your self, aware of your needs, and capable. You will benefit from her deep knowledge of the practice and years of experience. Her love of yoga and wellness is contagious and you will be encouraged and in a safe space to explore and feel your best.

  • Gabriel

    Yoga East Austin Co-Founder & LEAD Teacher

    Gabriel has Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and an MBA with concentration in Management. He built brands for Fortune 100 companies before graduating from Bikram Yoga TT in 2007. He and Meghan took each other’s very first yoga class and have been friends since! His class is straightforward and challenges you to brush up against your edges. He still teaches 6 days a week and teaching Bikram’s beginners yoga class continues to be his favorite thing to do at Yoga East Austin!

  • Hanna

    ANATOMY

    Hanna discovered the 90-minute Beginners’ class in 2015 and did Bikram's teacher training in Khao Lak. Hanna did her first yoga competition in 2015 and was the Swedish and Nordic champion in 2018, 2019 and 2020. She also placed 4th in the 2020 IYSF Yoga Asana Championship. Together with her husband Erik, she has been coaching Swedish yoga athletes since 2018.Hanna has a bachelor’s degree in both Anatomy and Psychology and presented the Anatomy content for IYSF A-level coaching Training.

  • Christian

    HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY

    Christian Scaraglino, a New Yorker, is currently on the teaching staff at Hot Yoga Malmö (Sweden). In 2001, he started practicing Bikram Yoga in the New York City’s Theater district and quickly discovered its balancing effects on his Cholesterol and overall health. In the Fall of 2002, Christian completed Bikram Yoga TT. Since then, it has allowed him to practice, teach, compete and judge competitions at many studios around the globe including New York, Paris, Prague and Liège, Belgium where he co-owned a studio for two years.

March 29: 60 min class (4:30p) + Zoom group kickoff with Namaste North team & trainees (6-7:30p)
Tuesdays: 90 min class (6p)
Wednesdays: 60 min class (4:30p) + Zoom group with Namaste North team & trainees (6-7:30p)
Thursdays: 90 min class (6p)
Friday-Sundays: Weekend modules

  • Mondays ARE OFF Days with the exception of MArch 29

  • 4:30 classes on Wednesdays are optional - your work schedule permitting

ABOUT CASA OM

Casa Om is A boutique yoga retreat center located in puerto Morelos, Mexico, roughly 15 miles south of the cancun airport. Nestled steps from the Caribbean beach, it features an equipped hot yoga studio, an outdoor pool, and an in-house chef serving gourmet vegetarian meals

  • You can do whatever your big heart desires. This is your training and your retreat. However, we recommend you "trust the process" and fully dive in to make the most of your best (and sometimes worst). Real growth will come from showing up when you don't want to - and if you want to teach, why not do all 8 weeks and come out being the best new teacher you can be! Remember, we only do these trainings when we want to mentor new teachers. This is your opportunity to teach at Yoga East Austin if you want it!

  • Job? No. Because that's boring and you probably already have one. But, you will have a life upgrade and new tool in your tool belt that allows you to help people help themselves! A new skill that you can take anywhere in the world and help you shine your brightest light. Mentorship and teaching opportunities will be available for you at Yoga East Austin.

  • One class daily (except Mondays), plus two classes Saturday & Sunday. Keep in mind all your teachers did 11 classes a week for 9 weeks at Bikram's teacher training ;)

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! We only require a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot (here and at Casa Om). Once paid, you choose how much and how often you make payments. Balance must be paid in full before March 1, 2027.

  • Tuition includes: 8 week training + 2 week accommodations and meals at Casa Om (minus 4 dinners), plus one year membership at Yoga East Austin, post-training. Housing and meals in Austin are not included.

  • Yes! You can participate even if you don't plan to be a teacher. We have options that include just the Austin portion, the 2 Week Retreat portion, or both portions of the training. Email us with your questions about what you can/want to do for pricing.
